    Adopt A Rock Flyer Pic

The Mankato Curling Club recently conducted a complete overhaul on our curling stones.  Thanks to Thompson Rink Equipment in Winnipeg, our rocks have been reconditioned and are ready to roll - er, slide - into next season and beyond!  To be more specific, we reconditioned the running bands to make our rocks more consistent in delivery, and we reconditioned the striking bands to make our rocks more lively.  This is another way your Club and Board Members are working hard to give you the best curling experience possible.

Naturally, this kind of work, while important and necessary (and long overdue), is quite expensive.  To offset these costs we are excited to announce the Adopt-a-Rock Program.  For the price of $300, you will be able to adopt one of these reconditioned curling stones by having your name engraved on the handle!  You can also choose to do a "in memorium" or "in memory of" engraving or even promote your business with your business name (and possibly logo).  Final content is subject to Board approval.  Membership to the club is not required to adopt a rock, so tell your friends, past members of our club, and business associates.

Your adoption will be good for the life of the reconditioning work, which is estimated to be around 7-10 years.

We teach a curling course through Mankato State University.

We also offer low-cost sessions for individuals interested in learning curling introducing 60 to 100 new people each year.

    Beginner Curling Games

The Mankato Curling Club is excited to offer more opportunities for beginner curlers to give curling a try!  On Saturday March 17 and Saturday March 24, beginning at 10AM, the Curling Club will host "beginner curling" games.  Curlers with 0-2 years of experience are welcome to register.  The cost wil be $10 per session and you can sign up for one or both days!

You will square off against other curlers of similar experience levels in a fun, casual setting, with instructors provided on the ice to help with delivery, strategy, rules, etiquette, and more.  Plan to play a four-end game against one team, and then compete against another team for another four-end game, depending on the number of people who sign up.

All equipment is provided by the club.  Please remember to bring a clean pair of shoes to change into at the club.

You may register as an individual, a full team of 4, or anywhere in between, but please register everyone in your group at once so we know you are together!

Register for these beginner curling games on our Events page HERE.
