The Mankato Curling Club has a strong history of a junior program. Many of our junior curlers have gone on to compete at the national level and one of our curlers has even won a silver medal at the Youth Olympic Games! Many more junior curlers have curled just for fun and have been given the opportunity of learning a game they can play for the rest of their life. Several junior curlers have been able to curl with older family members which is one of the great traditions of curling!
The Mankato Club offers Junior instruction for the following age groups for its 2023-2024 curing season:
Little Rockers (K – 3rd Grade) - Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m.
Rockers (4th – 12th Grade) - Tuesdays at 6:30 p.m.
There are two sessions of junior curling.
Early Season: 6 Weeks - November 14th - December 19th (Note: Curling Week of Thanksgiving)
Regular Season: 13 weeks - January 2th - April 2nd
Cost: We offer great value for junior curlers!

Regular Season: $65 for Little Rockers/$100 for Rockers
Our junior program is led by Kyle Ramaker and Joe Flannery. Joe has been helping coordinate our junior program since 2016. He loves the game of curling and teaching it to the next generation. Joe has had success coaching on the competitive level winning Junior Nationals in 2018. He is Safe Sport Certified. For more information on the Safe Sport Certification process, please click here.
Your rocker can just enjoy the fun/social aspect of the game and curl weekly or get involved at the competitive level with some weekend tournaments.
