It doesn't feel like we've gotten to fall yet, but we have gotten the club back and are ready to start making ice! I've got some long overdue announcements about the club and our season.
First off, we have two new changes to announce for this year. The board has voted to approve a $5 increase to membership dues this year and another $5 increase for next year (2026-2027 season). We researched prices for clubs all around our region and even after both years' increases our membership prices are lower than most others around us. These modest increases will help us continue to maintain a strong financial position.
Secondly, the board voted to institute a referral bonus for recruiting new members. Any current member who recruits a new member to the club (someone that has not been a member of the Mankato Curling Club in the last 5 years) will receive a $25 discount on either their membership or a bonspiel for this year (the bonus could be applied to next year's membership if you've already signed up for this year). There is no limit on the number of bonuses you can receive, but no cash will be paid out.
Referral bonuses will be applied after the new member indicates who referred them while signing up. Only one member will receive a bonus for each new member that is recruited.
Early season sign up is open and we will have regular season sign up available by the end of the weekend.

Learn to Curls - November 8, 15, and December 6 (Saturdays, 1-3pm) - Need 5 volunteers to help at each session
Beginner League - December 5, 12, 19 (Fridays, 6-8pm) - Need 4 volunteers to help at each session
Regular Season – Sunday 1/4/26 – Thursday, 3/26/26 - Sun (open), M (open/6:15 draw only), T (juniors/drop-in league), W (open), Th (open)
Minnesota Curling Club Playdowns - Coming in January. We have agreed to be the host site! Stay tuned for more details.
Other announcements for this year:
We are officially a USA Curling Member Club again. If any members decide to purchase an "individual membership" to USA Curling, select "Mankato Curling Club" between now and November 30th, and the club receives a $5 rebate.
Additionally, Broomfitters (formerly Dakota Curling Supplies) will be here on November 19th and 20th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Great time to buy Christmas gifts!
