Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 30th and Sunday, October 1st. The fourth annual USA Curling Members’ Assembly is right around the corner. This year, the assembly is headed to the Twin Cities in Minnesota. Your national organization is partnering with the St. Paul Curling Club to make this event possible.
In addition to the annual Members’ Meeting on Saturday morning, the weekend will include a variety of educational opportunities, social gatherings, and curling. CLICK HERE for an overview of the weekend’s schedule. All members who have an interest in improving their game and/or growing their club should consider attending all or any part of the program. Seminars focused on preparing for a competition, choosing the right equipment, strategy, stones, team systems, and more are designed for curlers seeking to improve their performance. Curlers seeking to grow their club can attend seminars focused on technology to simplify club management, using video as a promotional tool, legal issues, capitalizing on the Olympic Winter Games, and other best practices.
On top of two days of free seminars, there will be a number of on-ice training sessions available for a fee. This includes the opportunity for you to improve your sweeping with 2012 US Men’s National Champion, Dean Gemmell. An Adult Curling Clinic and In-Game Coaching session will be lead by Junior High Performance Program Director, Dave Jensen.
